uitvoeringen: door Hans Roels en de player-piano van Logos op 5/6/2003 in Logos (pianOH! festival) en (gereviseerde versie) op M&M concert in Logos op 19/10/2004
In dit werk kombineert Hans Roels al de mogelijkheden van de (komputergestuurde) player piano met die van de inside en de prepared piano. Terwijl de piano-automaat de toetsen bespeelt, speelt ondertussen een live-muzikant in dezelfde piano pizzicati, glissandi en perkussie-effekten op de snaren, gebruikt twee e-bows en verplaatst en verwijdert allerlei preparaties tussen de snaren.
Dit polyfonisch werk met verschillende tempi en klankkleuren balanceert voortdurend tussen stilstand en ontwikkeling.

This piece combines the possibilities of the player piano (controlled by a computer) and the prepared and the inside piano. While the automatic piano plays (on the keys), a live performer plays pizzicati, glissandi and percussion-effects on the strings, uses two ebows and changes preparations in the piano.
This polyfonic work with different simultaneous tempi and timbres develops in a non-linear way, permanently balancing between standstill and progress.
